Gary Zmolek lives in Marshalltown, Iowa. He is a retired teacher of high school English and gifted and talented K-12. He was named the Beloit College Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year in 1991. He coached individual speech for 35 years and judged that competition for 20 years, and was named to the Iowa High School Speech Association Hall of Fame in 2014. In his retirement he continues to be a storyteller, poetry reciter, and interpreter of prose fiction. He loves music of many genres, especially classical and jazz. His favorite activity is swimming in a Minnesota lake. He is recently widowed and shares his home with a daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. This is his first foray into the world of digital video.
