Grudge Match
Antidote to the Nutcracker |
“... taking you through a whirl of emotions on the way to a harmonious place. With song, dance, spoken words and a game of musical chairs... it is an intense 50 minutes.”
- Diane de la Paz, Weekly Volcano |
Just in time for family celebrations of the holidays, Grudge Match is a satirical look at personal, political, and spiritual experiences of grudge and forgiveness directed by Paul and Joséphine A. Garibaldi. The performance draws inspiration from the writings of W. S. Burroughs, historical feuds and duels, rituals of guilt and absolvement, and the personal journals of performers Mary Chase, Stephanie Kriege, Katharine M. Stricker, and Jenna Veatch. The performers enter the “ring” and the Grudge Match commences through a scheduled fifteen round event. |
