The sound score consists of two words repeated multiple times during each of the designated time brackets. The words were determined by counting through from the six words associated with each action prompt with each of the two numbers associated with the action. For example, for the first prompt, starting with the word "constraint", I counted through 11 through the words (starting again at the top after the first six) to find the first word, then from there counted through 20 to attain the second word. The first word was repeated 11 times, the second 20 times during the 20 second duration between :11-:31. When the numbers were negative the counting was done backwards and the resultant word was played backwards in the final score.
The movement score was a physical enactment of the score, placing each of the runes corresponding with each action prompt on the table during the time bracket and then removing them.
Teiwaz, the fifteenth rune corresponding with the title of this score, was placed on the table to denote the beginning and end of the performance. The task of placing and removing the rune stones accurately according to the time brackets was surprisingly difficult - and this version is not perfect - but, after eight attempts to get it on video I decided that it was close enough. |
