We performed a presentation/iteration of Laptop Performance Laboratory: Modular Play at the Nordic Summer University Circle 7 conference in Riga. It was wonderful to spend several days with all these energized artist scholars in the black box theater of the Zirgu Pasts building where Jo had taught classes and had her work premiere in 2014 while we were in residence in 2014 through the Fulbright award she won. Most of our days were inside, absorbing the work being presented by our colleagues but the last half day we took some time to wander through Old Town Riga:

We rented a car for a trip into Estonia. First stop was Lihula where we very much enjoyed the winter landscape of Matsalu National Park, renowned for its birdlife.
| |
Our next stop was the capital city of Tallinn where we enjoyed strolling along the harbor and in the medieval Old Town.

Tartu, with its historic University and Old Town was lovely, especially during a light snow during an evening walk.
